Instructions for cinnamon pecan rolls
ROLLS
Whisk warm milk, sugar, and melted butter together in a large bowl.
The temperature should be between 100 and 110°F.
Sprinkle yeast over the mixture, stir to just combine, and let it sit for 5 minutes until the mixture starts to foam.
Mix in 4 cups of flour with a wooden spoon until the dough comes together.
Cover with a clean towel or plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
Butter 2 round cake pans and set them aside.
Take off the towel and mix in the baking powder, salt, and 3/4 cup of flour.
Stir until everything is mixed, then turn out onto a surface with flour.
Knead dough until it stops sticking to your hands.
If you need to, add more flour.
It shouldn’t stick to what it’s on.
Roll the dough into a large rectangle that is about half an inch thick. Make sure the corners are clear and even.
Brown sugar and cinnamon should be spread evenly over the dough after the butter has been softened.
Press the mix lightly into the butter.
Roll the dough into a log and pinch the end to seal it.
Cut the dough into 14 even pieces that are about 1 1/2 inches thick.
Put 7 rolls into each cake pan that has been ready.
Lightly press down on each roll.
Cover the pans with a clean towel or a piece of plastic wrap, and let them rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
Turn oven on to 350°F.
ICING
To make the icing, beat together cream cheese and butter in a medium-sized bowl.
Mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla with a mixer.
Mix the milk into the icing until it is smooth.
More milk can be added to get the consistency that you want.
Set aside.
Take off the lid, brush the cinnamon rolls with melted butter, and bake them for 25 to 30 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Pour icing evenly over cinnamon rolls and enjoy!
